Before I was on the internet and before I first traveled to Asia in 1995, I had been to more than a few islands in the Caribean. Three times I visited Jamaica via Montego Bay, visiting Negril and Ocho Rios.

In 2007 I went to the capital of Kingston. When locals asked if this was my first time in Jamaica I laughed and replied, "No one comes to Kingston for their first visit to Jamaica unless it's a mistake!"

This city is not the tourist area that the beach towns are and that was its appeal for me. I eventually took the $4 bus to Port Antonio, a laid back town on the North East coast. Here are some photos from the trip.
